Toward the end of World War II, as Allied planes rained death and destruction over Germany, the old Saxon city of Dresden lay like an island of tranquillity amid desolation. Famous as a cultural center and possessing no military value, Dresden had been spared the terror that descended from the skies over the rest of the country.
In fact, little had been done to provide the ancient city of artists and craftsmen with anti-aircraft defenses. One squadron of planes had been stationed in Dresden for awhile, but the Luftwaffe decided to move the aircraft to another area where they would be of use. A gentlemen’s agreement seemed to prevail, designating Dresden an “open city.”
February 13/14 1945: Holocaust over Dresden, known as the Florence of the North. Dresden was a hospital city for wounded soldiers. Not one military unit, not one anti-aircraft battery was deployed in the city. Together with the 600.000 refugees from Breslau, Dresden was filled with nearly 1.2 million people. Churchill had asked for “suggestions how to blaze 600.000 refugees”. He wasn’t interested how to target military installations 60 miles outside of Dresden. More than 700.000 phosphorus bombs were dropped on 1.2 million people. One bomb for every 2 people. The temperature in the centre of the city reached 1600 o centigrade. More than 260.000 bodies and residues of bodies were counted. But those who perished in the centre of the city can’t be traced. Approximately 500.000 children, women, the elderly, wounded soldiers and the animals of the zoo were slaughtered in one night.

( Alright, there is much bullshit in that article. First of all, the city wasn’t THAT innocent! Second: half a million deaths? Nope, newest research showed that 22000-25000 people died. 500000 deaths are Nazi propaganda - like this article here. Unbelievable. Yes the raid was not that great, but the numbers here are so wrong. It sickens me, because todays neo nazis use words like “Dresden Holocaust” )
If nazis commit holocaust by “experimenting on jews” Then by that logic America commited a holocaust on Dresden by Experimenting with firebombs. call it neo-nazi if you want seems like the only way to discredit something is to say it has to do with nazi’s as if nazi’s aren’t people or they didn’t have families or as if Nazis did not contribute as individuals. Dresden was the Cultural center of Europe NOT a military target. is that not the definition of Terrorism? did you forget the USS Liberty? as long as the victims are related to the target(oh well). and why are people targets? Anyway the majority of jews that died were towards the end of ww2 when allied bombing was blocking food from getting to the prisoners. Essentially it was an embargo by the allies which was what caused the soldiers to surrender and the prisoners to starve.
Not to mention the many peace attempts by Diplomats in England and Germany that failed due to State Funded Agent Provocateurs and False Propaganda. Oh interwebs Why couldn’t you have been around in the 1940s

Israel passes law to punish Israeli boycotts of illegal West Bank settlements

Rights groups say the legislation stifles freedom of speech and compromises Israeli democracy.
After failed attempts to delay debate, it was voted through 47-36.
It follows several Israeli calls to boycott institutions or individuals linked to Jewish settlements on occupied Palestinian land.
The settlements are deemed illegal under international law, although Israel disputes this. Recent peace talks with the Palestinians were derailed over the issue of continued building in settlements.
The Palestinians want the West Bank as part of a future state.
Among the recent initiatives that angered settlers and their influential political patrons was a pledge by Israeli academics and artists to boycott the West Bank settlement of Ariel.
Israeli developers also agreed not to use products or services from settlements when they signed on to help build a new modern Palestinian city, north of Ramallah.
Under the new law those who sponsor a “geographically based boycott” - which includes any part of the Jewish state or its settlements - could be sued for damages in a civil court by the party injured in the boycott call.
The petitioner is not required to prove that “economic, cultural or academic damage” was caused, only that it could reasonably be expected from the move.
