If you are a connoisseur of mad tirades then this movie would be perfect for your collection. Network shows the viewer how far a network station would go in order to get ratings. The movie begins with a news anchor named Howard Beale (Peter Finch) finding out that he will be fired from his job after two weeks because he is not getting the ratings that he once had. So distraught by his termination, the next time he reports the news he tells the audience that he is going to kill himself live on the air. After he makes this statement, he is told to apologize for his actions. He goes on the air, doesn’t apologize but says that he ran out of bullsh**.
Of all the enemies to public liberty war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and
develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes; and
armies, and debts, and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the
few. In war, too, the discretionary power of the Executive is extended; its influence in dealing out offices,
honors, and emoluments is multiplied; and all the means of seducing the minds, are added to those of
subduing the force, of the people…. [There is also an] inequality of fortunes, and the opportunities of fraud,
growing out of a state of war, and … degeneracy of manners and of morals…. No nation could preserve its
freedom in the midst of continual warfare.

So, while digging through my reaction images for those last few posts, I found this.
I realized this basically sums up the dynamic between Odin, Thor and Loki perfectly. Really, that summarizes the entire thing in one image.
